The Samsung Galaxy Express enters our battery test gauntlet, comes through with flying colors

Samsung’s just-released LTE-toting midranger, the Samsung Galaxy Express, is the company’s first dual-core Krait offering for the international market.

It not only offers LTE connectivity for emerging LTE markets in Europe and Asia, but also comes with a beefy 2000 mAh battery, which churns out some great performance when combined with the latest Android Jelly Bean.

The Express boasts some impressive talk time on a 3G network, and is able to go for a full 10 hours of constant conversation before having to be charged.

Continuous web browsing can be done for bit over 7 hours, which is a good score despite the extra large and power hungry 4.6 inch AMOLED screen.

Finally, videos can also be played for a solid 10 hours, which is also what the Galaxy S III got. With its impressive media player capabilities, you won’t have many problems running videos at up to 1080p on a wide variety of codecs for quite a while before needing a re-charge.

While the numbers so far were certainly impressive, it was the stand-by time that raised our proverbial eyebrow the most. When you add it all up, the Galaxy Express scored a very impressive 59 hour endurance rating.

It seems that Samsung has been able to squeeze out every bit of battery that Jelly Bean can provide on standby, and when you couple that with the great performance from Qualcomm’s Krait processor, you’ve got one compelling package. For more on the Samsung Galaxy Express, check out our full review.
