Sony releases Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update for its Xperia tablet S

Sony’s Xperia Tablet S was launched with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, but the company has now started rolling its overdue Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update.

The latest update for the tablet will be pushed to servers today and you should start getting notifications for applying it OTA (over-the-air). The Jelly Bean update will be available in the United States, Canada and Latin America region. However, we expect the company to complete the global roll out in the upcoming days.

If you have an Xperia S tablet, you will receive a notification in the bottom right hand corner, that a system update is available or you can do a manual check by going to Settings> About tablet> System updates.
