Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 goes on sale at BestBuy in three days

The long wait is almost over, then. Samsung’s sweet-looking Galaxy Tab 8.9 Honeycomb tablet will be going on sale in select BestBuy stores this Thursday. Reportedly, shipments have already arrived in the US and now we are just waiting for them to be distributed to stores around the country.

According to BestBuy some stores will have to wait until 25th to get their retail units, but the company didn’t specify which ones. The Galaxy Tab 8.9 is currently listed at $399 on the seller’s official website, which sound like a great deal for the Tegra chipset and the 1280 x 800 PLS TFT screen.

Update: The price has just been changed to $469, which is just what Samsung promised at the announcement event. So, the Galaxy Tab 8.9 probably won’t be the bargain that we initially though it would be, but it’s still looking like a solid offer.

We were pretty impressed with the slate when we previewed it and you can bet we’ll be doing all we can to acquire a review sample now that the Galaxy Tab 8.9 is nearing release to see if it has lived up to its potential.
