Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 goes on pre-order, seems pretty pricey

Ever since we first laid our eyes on the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7, we’ve been mesmerized by its gorgeous SuperAMOLED Plus screen and have since been holding our breath to find out how much it’ll cost.

Well, now that several online stores have started taking pre-orders for it we know the answer to that question. A 3G-packing Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 with 16GB of storage will set you back about $670. Ouch!

On second thought, the price tag might be justified considering the Galaxy Tab 7.7 rich specs sheet. The slate comes with an overclocked version of the Exynos chipset with a 1.4GHz dual-core processor, Mali-400MP GPU and 1GB of RAM. Not to mention the 7.7″ SuperAMOLED Plus screen with 1280 x 800 pixels resolution and pixel density of 196ppi.

There’s no official word from Samsung on the availability of the Galaxy Tab 7.7, yet, but considering that retailers are putting it up for pre-order it should be pretty close to an official launch.
