Samsung Galaxy S4 screen got a UL certification for Display image quality thanks to its accurate Adobe RGB support

The Samsung Galaxy S4 scored a second certificate from Underwriters Laboratories (UL), this one for its screen. The 5″ Super AMOLED display with 1080p resolution achieves 97% coverage of the Adobe RGB, which can represent about 35% more color ranges than sRGB.

Earlier this year, the Galaxy S4 received another UL certification – one for its eco-friendliness – and one from TCO as well.

For this latest award, the Galaxy S4 screen kept colors within a 0.0057 tolerance range, 3-5 times better than other AMOLEDs. Other Samsung OLED displays have snagged UL certification too, like the one used in a 55″ OLED TV.
