Nike+ GPS running app comes to Android

The Nike+ running app provides a nifty way to track your workouts as well as receive recommendations on how to improve for your next workout, as well as compete against your friends or anyone in the Nike+ community.

The app, which has been an iOS-exclusive until now, finally lets Android users join the party.

For anyone looking for even more ways to track your workout, the Nike+ website lets you track your progress and compare it to other community members. You can also get recommendations for alternative running routes, as well as set new personal goals for yourself.

Nike+ Basketball is also in the works, with a new line of Hyperdunk+ shoes specially designed with internal sensors to track vertical leap and quickness, then sync statistics from your game automatically to your smartphone. Special Nike+ crosstrainers are also being developed.
