Micromax, the Indian smartphone manufacturer, has announced its first dual-boot Android and Windows tablet dubbed LapTab at CES in Las Vegas.

Micromax’s LapTab runs both Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS and Windows 8 OS and offers flexibility to all its consumers who are looking to adopt a machine with two of the most popular operating systems.

The LapTab comes with a 10.1-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. The tablet is powered by an Intel Celeron N2805 processor clocked at 1.46 GHz along 2 GB of RAM. The slate also features a 2 megapixel front facing camera with light sensor and 32 GB of internal memory with the ability to expand memory up to 64 GB via microSD card.

Micromax’s range of connectivity options includes Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi. The juice for the slate is provided by a whopping 7,400mAh battery. The LapTab also comes with a transleeve, which doubles up as a cover and a stand for wireless keyboard.

Micromax will start selling the tablet in February, but the company hasn’t revealed the pricing of the slate just yet.
