Latest Samsung Galaxy S6 teaser is about materials and shapes

Samsung is continuing its teaser campaign for the upcoming Galaxy S6. The third video in the series was released today. It follows the previous ones about the phone’s camera and performance.

This time around the short video is all about materials and shapes. So, given all the leaks and rumors we’ve seen lately, it kind of feels obvious that Samsung is teasing a metal build for the device. That said, keep in mind that at no point in the promo is that explicitly stated. Otherwise it would be more than a teaser, wouldn’t it?

At the end of the video we (barely) get to see what looks like the silhouette of the smartphone, seen from the side. And sure enough the frame does look like it’s made from metal, but we’ll only be 100% certain once Samsung does the grand unveil on March 1.

Until then, do expect more such teasers to pop up. After all, this is the company’s biggest announcement of the year, so it stands to reason that it would want to build up the hype. As a quick reminder, the Galaxy S6 should sport a 5″ or 5.1″ QHD (2,560×1,440) Super AMOLED touchscreen, a 16MP rear camera, Samsung’s Exynos 7420 chipset with octa-core CPU, 3GB of RAM, and a 2,600 mAh battery. It will probably run Android 5.0 Lollipop from day one.
