Intel-based Samsung Chromebook 2 goes official

Samsung took the wraps off an Intel-based Chromebook 2 model. The $249.99 newcomer will sit below the already available Exynos 5 Octa variant in the Korean giant’s product range.

The latest Samsung Chromebook 2 features Intel Celeron Processor N2840, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of built-in storage. The latter can be expanded via a built-in microSD card slot, or by plugging external storage in the available USB 2.0 or USB 3.0 port.

The display of the notebook is an 11.6” unit with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels and 200 nits of brightness. Connectivity options include Bluetooth 4.0, HDMI port, and 3.5mm audio jack.

The device offers dual stereo speakers and 720p webcam. A 4,080mAh battery with up to 9 hours of juice powers the hardware.
