ICS updates rollout for the Samsung Galaxy Tab lineup to start in July

The Samsung Galaxy Tab slates will get the Ice Cream Sandwich treatment in July and August. This is surely good news for all the owners (including myself) who have been stuck waiting for so long.

Here is the full list of compatible devices:

GT-P6210 Galaxy Tab Plus 7.0 WIFI
GT-P6200 Galaxy Tab Plus 7.0 WIFI + 3G
GT-P6810 Galaxy Tab 7.7 WIFI
GT-P6800 Galaxy Tab 7.7 WIFI + 3G
GT-P7310 Galaxy Tab 8.9 WIFI
GT-P7300 Galaxy Tab 8.9 WIFI + 3G
GT-P7510 Galaxy Tab 10.1 WIFI
GT-P7500 Galaxy Tab 10.1 WIFI + 3G

As the SamMobile insider claims, the update rollout will start in July, but most of the slates will get to in in August. Anyway, it seems Samsung will keep its promise and will release the ICS updates in the summer. Unfortunately for Samsung, by the time the roullout starts ICS probably won’t be the newest Android release anymore. Google’s I/O event is scheduled to start on July 27 and we’ll probably see Jelly Bean debut at the keynote speech.
