HTC DROID Incredible 4G LTE has arrived, we go hands-on

The third installment of the popular HTC DROID Incredible series for Verizon Wireless has come upon us, bearing one of the longest names we’ve encountered to date. Unlike its predecessor, which was a marginal improvement over the original however, the HTC DROID Incredible 4G LTE is a proper, pocket-friendly powerhouse.

The DROID Incredible 4G LTE features a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 chipset with two Krait CPU cores, clocked at 1.2GHz, and Adreno 225 GPU. There’s a gig of RAM at your disposal and 8GB of built-in memory, which can be further expanded via a microSD card slot. A 4″ S-LCD screen with qHD resolution, 8MP snapper with full HD video recording, and a 1.3MP front-facing unit are also among the highlights in the handset’s spec sheet.

With measures of 121.9 x 61 x 11.7 mm, and a weight of 132 grams, the HTC DROID Incredible 4G LTE is more pocketable than most other 4.3″+ sized Android smartphones without compromising on performance. The device is powered by a 1700mAh battery.

Software-wise, the latest DROID Incredible offers Android 4.0.3 ICS, topped with HTC Sense 4.0. However, we can’t help but be extremely disappointed at Verizon’s efforts to ruin the otherwise enjoyable software experience by loading the device with an unprecedented amount of non-removable bloatware.

A full review is in the works. Stay tuned!
