Google+ app for Android gets updated, brings new icon, search and +1 for photos and comments

Hot on the heels of the update for the iOS version, Google has now upgraded the Android version of the Google+ app. Among the most noticeable changes is a new red icon, which is now the same as the favicon for the Google+ website.

Other changes include the ability to search within the app, +1 photos and comments, upload high resolution photos, ability to see whether other Google+ users are online and whether they are typing in Messenger, open links to posts and profile within the app itself, ability to start Messenger conversations just by entering a phone number and Instant Upload for videos being added back again. Lastly you have some stability improvements and bug fixes.

As before, the Google+ app is free of cost and can be downloaded from the source link below.
