Entry-level Lumia 520 dropped by for a video shoot, we obliged

The Nokia Lumia 520 is the Finn’s entry-level Windows Phone designed to win over those on a budget.

It features Nokia’s exclusive apps (like Here Drive, App Highlights, Nokia Music, etc.), costs around $180 sans contract and is equipped with a 4″ WVGA (480 x 800) IPS display, 8 gigs of internal storage with the option of a microSD expansion and not least of all a 5 MP snapper.

We put together a hands-on video of the Lumia 520, check it out below.

On the hardware side of things the Lumia 520, resembles the 620 in that it uses a wrap-around plastic back cover and a flat glass front, creating a unibody-like feel.

The plastic is matte on the black and white models and the surface feels soft to the touch. It doesn’t attract fingerprints and appears durable enough. The front, however is as prone to smudges as you’d expect from any glass.

The battery is of some concern as the capacity is only 1430 mAh but we’ll get back to that with a definitive verdict in our full review, coming soon.
