College campuses allow for visual tours with Google Maps

Thinking about checking out potential college campuses, but don’t have the time to see them in person?

Fret not, because Google’s got you covered. You can now take online tours of College Campuses right through Google Maps Street View.

Google’s recently added 36 additional tours to its line-up, including Georgetown University, the University of Miami, and University of Regina.

It’s too late to send in your application to universities now, but taking virtual tours from now might be a good way to get a head start on next year.

It’s interesting to see how much Google is expanding its Maps application; it isn’t just for getting directions to a destination anymore, but it is now beginning to allow users to explore the destinations themselves.
