Android travel app, TripIt, is redesigned

Google’s travel app, TripIt, has gotten a major design overhaul.

Google has given the app a “card view” along with some other updates.

In addition to the visual updates is TripIt for teams, which allows for calendar and planners to be shared amongst several users. It’s a nifty feature that lets you see your friend’s and colleagues itineraries, so you can easily coordinate your travel schedules at a glance.

If you opt for TripIt pro, you can even set up SMS messages that’ll alert you of flight changes and status updates.

Here’s the official list of changes straight from Big G themselves:

  • New card view! Swipe back and forth to see itineraries and plans plus navigate the app without leaving the view you’re on.
  • New for TripIt for Teams! Access team calendars via mobile now and trip planners have an at-a-glance view of group travel.
  • For TripIt Pro users only. Set up and manage your SMS messages for flight alerts.
  • Gingerbread OS support.
  • Various bug fixes
